RaceFace Next SL Seatpost
While the new 2015 Race Face Next SL Seatpost moves away from Race Face's signature single-adjustment head clamp design in the name of shaving some weight, it's still a marvelous piece of engineering that's at home on almost any high-end mountain bike.
Race Face optimized the 3k-carbon weave of the Next SL post for the lowest possible weight, without sacrificing strength. The shaft meets impact and toughness criteria that far exceeds what it will ever experience on most of the cross-country and trail machines on which it will find itself, yet it's still one of the lightest posts on the market. This is partially due to the new Hunter head clamp design, a two-bolt system that allows for extremely easy saddle installation, and adjustment of it once it's on board, with a tool-free interface for quick-mid trail position tuning.
The head accommodates both 7mm- and 9mm-rails, while providing a full 35mm of support to avoid saddle failure. The Race Face Next SL Seatpost has no setback, is available in 27.2, 30.9, and 31.6mm diameters, and one length at 400mm.
