The Merit Sport from Raleigh is a price point carbon fiber bike that is designed for the on or off road rides. The 2017 Merit sport comes stock with 700x32c Clement Strada tires, which make for a more comfortable ride and also allowing you to hit those connecting gravel roads. It also comes with a Shimano Tiagra 2x10 drivetrain, TRP disc brakes, a anti shock seat post and a anti shock stem. Between the 32c tire clearance and the anti shock seatpost/stem the Merit sport will make those rough rides or the long days in the saddle a bit more comfortable while still providing a great ride from the carbon fiber frame/fork. The $1,800 for the Merit Sport is a great package deal while featuring front/rear thru axles, internal cable routing and a clean interior chainstay brake mount on the frame.
