Global Fat Bike Day 2017
Join us for our annual Global Fat Bike Day Ride! Open to all ages and free. Meet at Port Sandy Bay Pizza at noon and wheels hit the trail at 12:30pm.
The ride will be a no drop conversational pace. We will ride a portion of road on HWY O and jump on Rawley Point Trail (double track gravel) and take that to Nashotah Beach. At the beach we will have fat bike sprints setup for four different categories. Junior, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. A short sprint race down the beach start to finish will be about 200yards. You can either spectate or participate. $10 to race and winner will take 50% of the cash and the other 50% will be donated to NEWT.
Total ride length will be approximately 10 miles starting from Port Sandy Bay and finishing back there for pizza and beer. $20 donation to NEWT (local trail group) is suggested and will get you pizza. We plan on returning to Port Sandy Bay at 3:00pm.
The evening ride starts at 6:30pm from the Hummingbird Cabin 7812 CR-O Two Rivers, Wisconsin 54241. Just a mile up the road from Port Sandy Bay. This ride will also be approximately 10miles and no drop. Please bring a light.
Our version of Global Fat Bike Day is all about having fun and riding bikes. You shouldn't take any of it too serious. It's a great day to connect with your friends, meet new ones, talk fat bikes, and drink beer.
Cheers and see you Saturday!
